Maropati (Greek: Monopation) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Calabria in the Italian region Calabria, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) southwest of Catanzaro and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northeast of Reggio Calabria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,655 and an area of 10.3 square kilometres (4.0 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Maropati contains the frazione (subdivision) Tritanti.
