Marvika (or Marvik) is a neighbourhood in Kristiansand, Norway. The neighborhood is located southeast in the Lund borough. In Marvika existed formerly a naval base and Gleodden cannon battery subordinate Odderøya Fortress. The main arena for IK Start is located in the area.
The name Marvika comes from the cove Marviksbukta, which is a popular place in the summer for residents and tourists. There is also a large shore at Marviksbuktka. There is one elementary school at Marvika, Frank Wild memorial school.
Marvika is mostly located with large white houses. There is an industrial park at Marvika serving most of Lund. There is everything from grocery stores to fitness center and retail stores.[1]
