Mary Lou Freeman
Mary Lou Freeman (Oct. 21, 1941 – Sep. 4, 2006) was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives and the Iowa State Senate.
Born as Mary Lou Hawkinson in Kandiyohi, Minnesota was elected to the Iowa State Senate from the 5th District in 1994 serving until 2002, and then served a term in the Iowa State House.
Education
Freeman graduated from Willmar High School and later obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education from Gustavus Adolphus College.[1]

Family
Freeman was the daughter of J. Martin and Luella Hawkinson. She had 4 children and 5 grandchildren.[1]
