The Massacre of 28 February 1997 was the attack on SHIK building in Vlorë.
Background
28 February 1997, will remain a date in the history of Albania. Having strengthened their defense against the University building, on the evening of February 28th, the rebel forces attacked SHIK building, without warning. In efforts between the rebels and officers of stylish, very few in number, 9 people remain killed: 6 officers and 3 civilians. Massacre of 28 February marks the beginning of the 10-day Civil War, as well as the end of order in the South for about a year.[1]
