Maulana Aazam
Maulana Aazam (Arabic: مولانا أعظم) is a Muslim scholar and a mufassir of the Qur'an, born on Monday, 26 March 1945 (11 Rabi Al Sani in the Islamic year 1364 AH).
His full name is Muhammad Ubaidullah Sultani, Janfidaa Naqeebi (Arabic: محمد عبيد الله السلطاني, جانفداء النقيبي), a quorum of Ulamaa, Mashaaikh and a major number of his students and followers give him a titles of Maulana Aazam, he is also known as "Maulana Sahib Nahr e Karez Sharef", "Maulana Sahib Pishin" and "Maulana Baba" etc.
He wrote more than one hundred books including tafseers of The Holy Qur'an like Naqeeb Al Tafaseer, Tafseer Al Aazamain, Tafseer e Naqeebi and Noor Al Tafaseer and several short works on different tropics.
The ancestors of Maulana Aazam were scholars in the field of knowledge, spirituality, morality and socialism.
Maulana Aazam is a personality of Davi (Pashtun tribe) whose ancestry reaches to the Sahabi of Muhammad Imam Muhammad Ahmad Qais Abdur Rashid Pathan, in his ancestry Imam Hameed Ahmad Ghurghax̌t (غرغښت) was the Caliph of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq for spiritual preaching and the student of Imam e Aazam Abu Hanifa, in this strain Imam Mahmood Ahmad Dani was the Caliph of Imam Ali al-Ridha for spiritual preaching and the student of Imam Abu Mansur al-Maturidi, also Imam Hamid Ahmad Davi was the Caliph of Imam Abu Salih Musa Jangi Doost (Father of Imam Abdul-Qadir Gilani) for spiritual preaching and the student of Imam Abu Hamid Muhammad Al-Ghazali, in the same genealogy Imam Abu Al Maali Hammad Ahmad Abd Ul Muta'ali was the Caliph of Imam Abdul-Qadir Gilani, Imam Ahmed Ar Rifa'i, Imam Ahmad Al Badawi, Imam Ibrahim Al Dasoqi and Imam Muhammad al-Jazuli for spiritual preaching and the student of Imam Burhan Ud Din Ali Al Marghinani, Maulana Jala Ud Deen Rumi and others.
