The Merrimack Valley Christian Film Festival is a Christian film festival in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The festival typically draws 12,000 to 15,000 people[1] and is held during Holy Week. Festival organizer Tom Saab said the festival is among the more popular ones in the country.[2] Saab began the festival in 1993 at the now closed Salem Tri Cinemas. For the past eight years, the festival has been held at the Showcase Cinemas in South Lawrence.[3]

No one is paid for the festival. Organizers raise around $28,000$30,000 to rent the Showcase Cinemas movie theater for the week and to pay for publicity and associated costs. Some Christian schools in the area send all or most of their students to the festival as a field trip.[1]
