Mick Wingert (born July 4, 1974) is an American voice actor, comedian and voice-over coach. He is best known as the new voice of Master Po and Zeng in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, taking over the roles from actors Jack Black and Dan Fogler. Wingert has been praised by fans of the Kung Fu Panda franchise for his Po voice impression sounding exactly like Jack Black's voice. He also does additional voices in Kung Fu Panda and The Princess and the Frog.

Early life

Wingert was born in Lemoore, California on July 4, 1974. And grew up in Fresno, California where he began acting in local community theater and high school theater programs. He graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Roosevelt School of the Arts program.

Career

Since 2000, Wingert has been a working voice actor and became a transplant to Southern California in 2004. He studied theater and mass communication at California State University and began working as a voice-over actor for local and regional advertising.

He is also the voice of Po in the Kung Fu Panda video games. Thereafter, Wingert worked as a voice actor in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, The Princess and the Frog, and The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Wingert was also cast in other video games, like Mass Effect 2 and Kessen III (as well as in hundreds of radio commercials in Southern California and on TV commercials across the country).[1]
