Micula (surname)

Micula (Hebrew: מיקלה, Mīqulā) is a surname of Ashkenazi Jewish origin. It is most popular among Jews of East European origin or descent.

The name dates back to the 11th century when many Jews moved to East Europe to avoid persecution.[1] In some countries the name is written as "Mikula", because of the Slavic influence.[2]
