The Miss Ecuador 2008 was on March 18, 2008. There were 19 candidates for the national title. The Miss Ecuador 2008 would represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2008 and Miss Continente Americano 2008. The Miss World Ecuador would enter Miss World 2008. The Miss Internacional Ecuador would enter Miss International 2008. The First Runner Up would enter Miss Maja Mundial 2008. The Second Runner Up would enter Miss Atlantic International 2009. The. The rest of the Top 10 would enter Miss Earth 2008, Miss Tourism Queen International 2009, Miss Intercontinental 2009, Miss América Latina 2009, and Reinado Internacional del Café 2009. This year, they were not certain if Miss Tierra Ecuatoriana did make its own pageant. They received the news that pageant was not going to be created. The franchise now belongs officially to Miss Ecuador. So they send a delegate from the Top 10.
