"Missing You" is a song by American hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas, for their fifth studio album, The E.N.D (2009). The band has co-written the song alongside Printz Board and Jean Baptiste, with Printz Board and will.i.am also handling production. It was released as a single from the album to several countries on June 2, 2010 through Interscope Records. "Missing You" failed to enter on major charts, reaching only number twenty-two on Belgium (Wallonia). A music video for the song was released on June 18, 2010, and included footage from the song's live performance on Los Angeles, California with The E.N.D World Tour. "Missing You" was also featured on CBS' NCIS.
Reception
Talia Kraines from BBC said that the song had "wild basslines and vocal snarling".[1] "Missing You" gained heavy airplay in France[2] and in Australia.[3] The song has reached number ten on the official French Airplay Chart[4] and nineteen on the French Digital Chart.[5] It is also being used in many adverts in the UK, causing it to rise on UK iTunes. A remix single was released to the Australian iTunes Store on June 13.[6] The song was used in CBS' NCIS episode Moonlighting.
Promotion
To help promote the song in Australia, a remix by DJ NDY was released to iTunes Store on June 13, 2010,[7] while the same remix was released earlier in the United States, on June 2, 2010.[8] "Missing You" was performed live at The E.N.D. World Tour, and the performance from Los Angeles, California was recorded and released on June 18, 2010 through the group's official Dipdive page, as the official video for the song in France and Brazil.[9] "Missing You" was also featured on CBS' NCIS episode "Moonlighting".[10]
