1. In most cases this name refers to Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology, MIET (currently National Research University of Electronic Technology) and this was the official English name of the university early in the 1990s.
2. This name has been used incorrectly to refer to the Moscow Institute of Electronic Machine Building, which was renamed Moscow State Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (Technical University), MIEM in 1993.
