Mufti Abdul Hannan is a Bangladeshi terrorist and the chief of Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami branch in Bangladesh.[1][2][3] Currently he is in jail and has been sentenced to death in a number of cases.[4][5]

Career

Mufti Abdul Hannan is thought to have fought in Afghan war against Soviet Union.[6] He trained in Peshwar, Pakistan and spent six months in a seminary in Uttar Pradesh, India.[7] He is the chief of the Bangladeshi branch of Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami.[8][9] He was arrested on 1st October 2005.[10]
