Muricauda lutaonensis is a Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped moderately thermophilic and non-motile bacterium from the genus of Muricauda which has been isolated from a hot spring on the Green Island on Taiwan.[1][3][4] the strain CC-HSB-11 of Muricauda lutaonensis produces zeaxanthin.[5]
