Museo Extremeño e Iberoamericano de Arte Contemporáneo
The Museo Extremeño e Iberoamericano de Arte Contemporáneo (MEIAC) or Ibero-American Museum of Contemporary Art is located on the site of the old Pretrial Detention and Correctional centre, which had been built in the mid-1950s on the grounds of a former 17th-century military stronghold, known as the Fort of Pardaleras. It has a collection of art works of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American artists. It was designed by the architect José Antonio Galea.[1][2]
