NGC 6553
NGC 6553 is the name of a globular cluster in the constellation Sagittarius. NGC 6553 has an apparent brightness of 8.3 to 10 mag given an apparent diameter of 2' to 9.2', class XI with stars magnitude 20 and dimmer. It is just over a degree southeast of Messier 8, the lagoon nebula.
