BBC box
In 2009 NYK Virgo delivered the BBC Box back to the United Kingdom.[2] The BBC Box was part of a news report on "globalisation and the world economy."[2] The box was sent around the world with a GPS tracker. The box carried various cargo from Scotch whisky to cat food. The journey lasted a year and covered over 50000 miles.
Slot exchange deal
The NYK line part of GKX Service entered into an agreement with KMS Service to coordinate usage of ports in Far East-Middle East trade.[3] The agreement will allow both companies to make port calls more efficiently.[3]
