Najwa Shihab (born September 16, 1977), was an Indonesian news presenter who currently worked in a television channel Metro TV through talkshow program Mata Najwa. Shihab has often winning dozen awards in Indonesia and international during her career as journalist, such as two awards at Panasonic Gobel Awards, including Favorite News & Information Talkshow Presenter, and Asian Television Awards for Best Current Affairs Presenter which she came out as Highly Commanded in Singapore.

Shihab is a alumni of University of Indonesia of Faculty Law. Shihab has selected for joining the AFS Intercultural Programs where had implemented by Foundation of AFS Intercultural during her senior high. Shihab have a high intuition to political developments as well as culture about to Indonesia states.

Personal life

Shihab is an second sister of 5 siblings from parents Fatmawati Assegaf and a former of Minister of Religion Affairs (and also a clerics) M. Quraish Shihab. Shihab has married to a lawyer Ibrahim Sjarief Assegaf on 1997 and have birth two child. Shihab is a niece of authorities Alwi Shihab.
