Nandini Rai (born 18 September), formerly known as Neelam Gouhranii,[1][2] is an Indian model and film actress. After modelling, she went to pursue a career in acting. She made her film debut in the 2011 film Family Pack.
Biography
Nandini hails from a Sindhi family.[1][2] She completed her schooling from St. Albans High School, Hyderabad, passing out in 2003. She has modeled for over 80 national and international brands.[3] She holds a bachelor's degree in computers. During her modelling stint, she has won several beauty contests, being named Miss Hyderabad 2008, Miss Andhra Pradesh 2008, Miss Pantaloons Fresh Face of AP 2009 and Miss Beautiful Eyes of AP 2010.[3]
She has acted in the Hindi film Family Pack and the Telugu film 040. She has performed in another Telugu film Hormones, in which she played a journalist, a role which required her to gain 12 kilos.[3] In 2012, she was seen in the Bollywood film Log In, too.[2] She made her Malayalam film debut in A. Sajeed's Goodbye December. In the "musical love story", she portrays a young, naughty teacher.[3] In 2014, she was signed for her first Kannada film Khushi Khushiyagi,[4] in which she played the role of a fashion designer.[5] She has signed up her first Tamil film, a romantic thriller titled Grahanam.[6]
