Narodny Tyl (Ukrainian: Народний тил, lit. "National Home Front") — community organization, volunteering association which seeks to help Ukrainian military involved in an armed conflict with Russia.[1]
History
The future founders of the "Narodny Tyl" began to volunteering in the spring of 2014, during the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation. Help begins with recharge cards, mobile military and gradually grew into a broad military support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and volunteer battalions.[4] As of autumn 2014, the organization consisted of 30-40 volunteers who regularly took part in the association.[5]
In August 2014 around the name "Narodny Tyl" conflict - the name was going to register on a politician and businessman Leo Partskhaladze. Once volunteers have expressed outrage, policies changed the name of their organization the "Narodny Tyl Ukrainy" ("National Home Front of Ukraine"). Finally, a new NGO called "reliable rear", on which the incident has been exhausted.[6] In late August, volunteer association "People's rear" officially registered as an NGO.
December 20, 2014 the office held an open house. Visitors to become acquainted with the activities within the organization and models of equipment, ask questions volunteers.[7][8]
Activity
Association "Narodny Tyl" provides the necessities of military clothing, camouflage, iron moveable wood stoves (i slang Ukrainian "burzhuyka"), modern military helmets, body armor and personal kits to the sights and telescopic sights, thermal imagers, cars, SUVs and equipped reanimobiles.[4] Together with other volunteer projects organized production results, sleeping bags, etc.[5] In August 2014 the volunteers "Narodny Tyl" with "Sisters of Victory" project launched by the French translation of the manual technique of warfare in urban environments. By the end of the year was published 500 copies of the 245-page manual.[9]
2014 the volunteers group "Narodny Tyl" created a website "Myrotvorets" that hosts a database of information on terrorists.[10] With this base at checkpoints Ukrainian soldiers detain terrorists and their accomplices. intelligence agencies of different countries are also interested in information collected.[11]
Medical Narodny Tyl
Medical unit sends soldiers medicines for general purpose (anti-inflammatory and antipyretic agents, antibiotics) and specialized individual first aid kits, staffed nearly NATO standards (military IFAKs). The structure includes hemostatic Celox, Combat-Application-Tourniquets, bandages... As of December 2014 the troops were transferred more than five thousand of these kits.[1][8]
Wings of Narodny Tyl
The project provides Ukrainian troops with unmanned aerial vehicles for reconnaissance and fire adjustment. Volunteers build quadcopters from parts and provide training for future operators. At the end of 2014 was sent to the front 13 vehicles.[8]
Narodny Tyl wheels
The "Narodny Tyl wheels" vehicles for intelligence and special forces, ensure their maintenance. SUVs and minivans are modified, protected, painted in protective color.[12] For 6 months prepared and submitted 37 such cars. Also, the organization purchased and sent to the front five ambulances.[8]
Narodny Tyl tablet computer
The "Narodny Tyl tablet computer" project was launched in November 2014 with tablet computers donated ASUS representative office in Ukraine.[13] Maps, navigation and special software, books on military affairs are installed on the tablet computers .
School libraries project
In summer 2015 Narodny Tyl was one of co-organizers of supplying books for school libraries in Luhansk Oblast.[3]

The project conducted auctions of paintings by famous artists. All funds received from the sale of works of art are going to fund other projects, "Narodny Tyl".[5][8]
Awards
Volunteers Association "People's rear" were awarded by state awards: Order of Merit (Ukraine) Third Class and Order of Princess Olga Third Class.[11][14][15]
