"Natural Born Boogie" is the debut single released in 1969 by English rock band Humble Pie, who were one of the first British supergroups. It was written as a mid tempo rock song by Steve Marriott, for Andrew Loog Oldham's Immediate label and became the band's first single release. The B-Side was entitled "Wrist Job" in UK and renamed "I'll Go Alone", for a later release in United States. The three guitarists sang a verse each.
The song reached #4 in the UK Singles Chart during 1969.[1] The title is often written as "Natural Born Bugie", and the song's refrain refers to a "Natural Born Woman":
There she is again
Steppin' out of her limousine, well
Looking like the cover of a twenty-dollar magazine
She's got it where you find it
If you know what I mean
She's a... natural born woman
Natural born woman
She's a... she's a natural born woman
Personnel
- Steve Marriott — Rhythm guitar, vocals.
- Peter Frampton — Lead guitar.
