Neil Sweeney (born 9 September 1977 in Newcastle, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league player. His position of choice is on the wing. He previously played for the North Queensland Cowboys and Newcastle Knights.
Neil was raised in the Lake Macquarie Suburb of Teralba and attended local primary and high schools. Neil demonstrated outstanding skills playing all codes of football from a young age. Neils Teacher John Sidney explained at his year six graduation that by year 3 Neil was as capable as any of the boys at Teralba Public School playing soccer and rugby league. Neil and numerous men in his family are known by one common pseudonym- Panko.
