Nicole (Gino) Giannino (born Sept 19, 1993) is an American Ice Hockey player currently playing in the (CWHL) Canadian Women's Hockey League for the Boston Blades[1] and is a member of USA Women's Inline Hockey Team. Giannino grew up in Bay Shore, New York and now resides in Boston, MA.
Playing career
Giannino started playing Ice hockey at the age of 9 on Long Island, NY. Playing for The Long Island Waves, Suffolk PAL, Suffolk County Selects, Long Island Lady Islanders and West Islip High School (Suffolk County High School Hockey League). Giannino moved to Lake Placid, NY after her Sophomore year of High School and attended National Sports Academy (NSA) . Nicole played NCAA collegiate hockey in the ECAC East at the College of the Holy Cross (Holy Cross) in Worcester, MA.

- 2011-2012: Played in 23 games on the year…recorded 4 goals and 5 assists and totaled 9 points...had a 4-game point streak with 1 goal and 3 assists (12/7-1/21).
- 2012-2013: Played in all 27 games…recorded 12 points on the season with 7 goals and 5 assists…ranked 5th on the team in goals scored. Scoring both goals for the Crusaders in the 2-0 win over Connecticut College (12/4)…scored the game-winning goal in the 4-3 victory over Castleton (1/12)…finished with a +8 plus/minus, fourth best on the team.
- 2013-2014: Played in all 27 games…led the team with 26 points on 12 goals and 14 assists…notched first career hat trick in a 5-0 victory over Salve Regina (11/9)…tallied 2 goals in a 5-0 victory over Nichols (2/14)…tallied 2 points in a 4-3 victory over Salve Regina (1/10) and in a 3-2 victory over Castleton State…tallied 4 points in a 5-0 victory over Sacred Heart (1/14)…ECAC East Player of the Week[2] on 3 occasions…named GoHolyCross.com Crusader of the Week[3] (1/13). Named 2013-2014 Holy Cross Most Valuable Player (MVP)[4] and 2013-2014 Holy Cross Player of the year. Named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2013 -14 Rutland Hearld Invitational Tournament (1/13)[5]
- 2014-2015: Played in all 28 games…recorded 23 points on 14 goals and nine assists…her 23 points were third most on the team…her 14 goals were tied for 2nd most on the team…tallied 2 points in a 5-4 victory over Sacred Heart (10/31), in a 7-3 win over Salve Regina (11/7) and again in a 7-2 victory over Manhattanville (1/9)…netted 2 goals in a 3-1 win over St. Anselm (11/14)…recorded three points in a 5-0 win over Plymouth State (11/21).Holy Cross won the 2013-2014 ECAC East Open Championship.
Giannino won the 2014-15 Rutland Hearld Invitational Most Valuable Player Award (MVP) for the 2nd straight year[6]
Nicole is tied for 6th all-time game-winning goal and ranks tied for 10th in career goals for the Crusaders.
