Niluka Ekanayake is the present governor of Central Province of Sri Lanka.[1] Niluka was an astrologer,[2] before being appointed by President Maithripala Sirisena on 17 March 2016 as the Governor.[3] She is the first transgender woman to hold the post of governor in a Sri Lankan Province.[4]
