Chadron S. Moore, better known by his stage name Nitti Beatz, is an American record producer who has been active since 2000 and who was signed to So So Def Records from 2005 to 2008.

Early life

Nitti mainly grew up in south Georgia. He found a connection with music mainly because he loved the way it made him feel. His mother bought him many instruments as a child. He would proudly take these instruments outside to show other kids in his neighborhood or just to simply show them he could come up with a melody of his own. Many kids thought Nitti was different in many ways because of this. Church was a place that Nitti would always find himself on Sundays. His first instrument of choice is the drums. Nitti began studying music while attending church with his family in south Georgia. He was raised by his mother in Decatur, Georgia. His mother found her way into the music scene in Decatur, Georgia. She went on to become a gospel radio station program director in Atlanta, Georgia, from the early 1990s to the mid-2000s. Nitti would always sneak into the post production studios at the radio stations while at work with his mother. Nitti was raise, along with his only sister, by his mother in Decatur, Georgia. He began doing production for local rap acts in Atlanta, Georgia. He would then meet rap veteran 8ball (of 8Ball & MJG). He produced 7 songs on the sophomore album, "Almost Famous" by 8ball. One of the songs produced was a single titled "Stop Playin' Games. The record soared on the Billboard charts to become the 1st national hit record for Nitti. After meeting 8ball, Nitti began to work on production for the veteran that would later catch the attention of other major artists. Once Nitti established a name for himself, well known music mogul Jermaine Dupri approached Nitti with a production deal. He did production work on many projects released through the So So Def label including projects for Bow Wow, Jermaine Dupri, and other projects. In 2007, Nitti also secured a production deal with Warner Bros. Records in Los Angeles, California.

Nitti provided a sound from Atlanta that would play a major role in future music to come.

Playmaker Music Recordings

Nitti started his own record label in 2007. He has signed artists 9th Ward, Playa Shaw, PLP Pipeline, Da Robbin Cru, K-Camp, Myyko Montana, Yung F.A., and Nicole Wray. In 2010, he signed Atlanta rapper Mykko Montana to his company. In 2011, the single "Do It" was released to the internet. In 2012, Nitti sealed a distribution deal for his company, Playmaker Worldwide, with Universal Republic Records. He then launched the new company, "Nitti Beatz Recordings". Mykko Montana was the 1st artist signed to this new imprint. In 2013, due to Nitti and Universal not seeing the vision, Mykko Montana was released from both Nitti Beatz and Universal Republic Records. In 2015, Nitti produced the lead single on rapper Rich Homie Quan, entitled, "FLEX" (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh).

Musical influences

Nitti listens to all types of music. He is a big fan of soft rock groups like Hall and Oates. He says that music that controls the room wins always in life. Growing up, he would listen to music that other kids were not. For example, he loves Stevie Wonder, Anita Baker, John Mayer, Kiss, and other acts like Earth, Wind, and Fire. He also feels that Michael Jackson's sound and choice of record selections help shape the current state of music. Nitti loves to hear chords in music that are often used. He thinks odd music chords grabs the ear of music consumers.

2015 to Present

Nitti gives back to his community through many channels. For example, one way is through his mother's non-profit organization based in Atlanta, Ga. They have provided assistance to the homeless and battered women throughout the year around Atlanta, Ga.

Nitti was nominated for the 2015 BET Hip Hop Awards "BEST CLUB BANGER" for "FLEX" (Ooh,Ooh,Ooh) by Rich Homie Quan for his production role on the record. This same work was also up for the "People's Champ Award" for the 2015 BET Hip Hop Awards to be held in Atlanta, GA in October, 2015. In the winter of 2015, Nitti signed new rapper Dae Dae to his Nitti Beatz Recordings label. Nitti joined forces with 300 Entertainment for a deal between Nitti Beatz Recordings/ 300 Ent to release future releases on the artist Dae Dae. The first single "Wat U Mean" became a Top 5 recording on urban radio in the United States.

Production signatures

Most of Nitti's productions typically start with some form of a little kid or himself saying "It's a Nitti Beat!" and slightly more monologue before the song lyrics start. Nitti's sound is primarily sample-free, relying heavily on synthesized sounds. He has worked primarily with southern hip hop artists throughout his career and is credited with helping popularize "snap music" production with Yung Joc's "It's Goin' Down".[1] In 2010, Nitti produced the single "Bring It Back" for the rap duo 8Ball & MJG. He was also nominated for a Grammy. On December 4, 2014 he signed artist Boonie Baby.
