Nizamabad mandal is one of the 36 mandals in Nizamabad district of the Indian state of Telangana. It is located in Nizamabad revenue division and the headquarters are located at Nizamabad city.[2] The mandal is bounded by Varni, Yedpalle, Navipet, Makloor, Gandhari and Dichpalle mandals respectively.[3]

Demographics

As of 2011 census, the mandal had a population of 412,500. The total population constitute, 204,700 males and 207,800 females —a sex ratio of 1015 females per 1000 males. 47,868 children are in the age group of 0–6 years, of which 24,331 are boys and 23,537 are girls. The average literacy rate stands at 73.81% with 269,126 literates.[1]

Administration

Nizamabad comes under Nizamabad (Urban)(Assembly constituency) and Nizamabad (Rural) (Assembly constituency) which in turn represents Nizamabad (Lok Sabha constituency) of Telangana.[4]
