Oak Tree Fine Press is a small not-for-profit publishing house set up with the assistance of Nobel Laureate John Maxwell Coetzee.[1][2] It publishes limited edition hand bound signed books featuring the work of world leading authors and artists.
All proceeds from the sales of books by Oak Tree Fine Press are targeted at organizations which offer support to the child victims of the African HIV/AIDS crisis.
Oak Tree Press was founded in 2005 and is based in Oxfordshire, UK. It is primarily a volunteer organisation.

The First Chapter Series (Booker Prize)
This series is a collaboration between Booker Prize-winning writers and high-profile artists to raise money for organizations offering care and support to AIDS orphans and victims in Africa. Each volume features the opening chapters of a Booker Prize-winning novel, accompanied by original artwork inspired by the novel. Current contributors include J M Coetzee, Stanley Middleton, Nadine Gordimer, Barry Unsworth, Margaret Atwood, A. S. Byatt, Alan Hollinghurst, Salman Rushdie, Yoko Ono, Gilbert & George, Cyril Coetzee, Ezekiel Mabote, Colbert Mashile and Jo Ractliffe.

Featuring the lectures of Doris Lessing, Günter Grass and Toni Morrison (forthcoming).
Modern Classics
Contributors to this series include John le Carré and Philip Pullman.
J M Coetzee Series
Featuring signed extracts from the novels of J M Coetzee.

Oak Tree Fine Press is a privately owned publishing company based in Oxfordshire, England. They specialize in exceptionally high quality books featuring work by the world’s greatest authors and artists. All profits from the sales of all our books go to organisations assisting children living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
The first collection was the First Chapter Series, a contribution by some of the world’s most prominent authors towards this cause. Each volume in this series features the opening chapters of prize-winning fiction alongside specially commissioned artwork inspired by the novel. With the generous support of prominent authors around the world, they now offer a range of books incorporating some of the most significant works of modern literary fiction. General titles are also published.
