Oakland Memorial Chapel, on the campus of Alcorn State University, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1976, and was designated a Mississippi Landmark in 1985.[3][2][4]
It is located within Alcorn State University Historic District. It was built on the campus of the defunct Oakland College.
