Okkodo High School
Okkodo High School (also known as Ukudu High School and Wettengel High School[1]) is a public secondary school located in Dededo, Guam (an insular area of the United States). It is a part of the Guam Public School System.
History
The opening of the school was delayed in August 2008.[2] The school opened on August 21, 2008.[3] Upon its opening, Okkodo High School had 1,500 students, 300 students more than originally intended.[4] On December 9, 2008 a riot at Okkodo led to ten students sustaining injuries. Nerissa Bretania-Shafer, the superintendent of Guam Public School System, opened an inquiry as to why no one called emergency medical units.[5]
