The record
Oval Dreams is the third album of the Italian psychedelic-progressive rock band Twenty Four Hours. The album was published in 1999 by Musea and later by other labels, including the Russian Mals in 2009 and the Italian Velut Luna in 2012.[1]
The reprint by Velut Luna has been remixed from the original reels in the analog domain and has been published in vinyl and addressed to the audiophile public, with the intention of recovering the original dynamics of the recording that had been excessively compressed in Musea version.[2][3] For reasons of space (the vinyl allows no more than 21-24 minutes per side to preserve the listening quality) the playlist of the album has been resized and two covers present in the CD version of Musea (Mother Nature's Son of The Beatles and Darkness 11/11 of Van Der Graaf Generator) and 2 additional "minor" songs were excluded
There is also a CD release of the remixed album edition, attached to the magazine Audiophile Sound of Pierre Bolduc, No. 117, July 2012.[4]
