The Ovation Viper (1271) refers to an electric guitar made by Ovation Guitar Company from the mid-1970s to the early 1980s.
Ovation more recently has reused the Viper name for an acoustic electric guitar, hereby referred to as the YM63.
The two guitars are entirely different, sharing only name and manufacturer.
