Padmabhushan Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan’s College of Engineering (PVPP COE) is an engineering college in Mumbai, India (established 1991).
Padmabhushan Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan’s College of Engineering is a tribute to the late Shri Vasantdada Patil, the Sahakar Maharshi and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The college is registered under Societies’ Registration Act, 1860 and Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. Former deputy Prime Minister Yeshwantrao Chavan, laid the foundation of the college.[2]
Established in 1991, the college is spread over a total area of 300,000 sq ft (28,000 m2). It is located in the centre of Mumbai, on the Eastern Express Highway at Sion. It is approved by the Government of Maharashtra, University of Mumbai, and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to conduct degree courses in Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Marine Engineering and diploma courses.[2]
According to Times of India ,On June 2013, the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) derecognized the college and withdrew the approval give to college as the college did not have its own land.
In 2016, AICTE shifted the First year and Direct Second Year Students to other AICTE approved institutes.
