The 2005 season was the 51st season of Pakistan domestic football.
It was the 2nd season of the Pakistan Premier League, and was a 12 team event. The bottom two teams were to be relegated, and to be replaced by winners and runners up from the PFF League.
Army dominated the season thanks to the goals of Imran Hussain, winning by 6 points, with WAPDA ending up in second.
Imran Hussain was top scorer with 21 goals.
PTCL's Adeel Ahmed was player of the season.
Panther Club and PWD were relegated at the end of the season. KESC and Railways were promoted to the PPL.
Pakistan Army represented Pakistan at the 2006 AFC President's Cup by virtue of being the national champions.
Pakistan Army only conceding 9 goals is a new record.
