Pakkinti Ammayi (English: The Girl Next Door) is a 1981 Telugu romantic comedy film directed by K. Vasu. The film stars Chandra Mohan, Jayasudha, Chakravarthy and S. P. Balasubrahmanyam in the lead roles. The music was composed by Chakravarthy. The film is a remake of 1952 Bengali film Pasher Bari which was based on a short fiction written by Arun Chowdhury. The film was also remade in Telugu as Pakka Inti Ammayi (1953), in Tamil as Adutha Veettu Penn (1960), in Hindi as Padosan (1968) and in Kannada as Pakkadamane Hudigi (2003).[1] [2] [3]
