Peroor Sree Krishna Swamy Temple is an ancient Hindu Temple situated near to Ambalamukku[1] Jn in Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation.Ambalamukku Jn is 6 km from Thiruvananthapuram central Bus Stand and Railway Station en-route Kowdiar, Peroorkada, Nedumangad, Ponmudi etc.The temple is dedicated to Lord Sree Krishna and it is administered by Travancore Devaswom Board. The place Peroorkada has got that name because of the existence of this holy temple. The temple is also famous as 'Thekkan Guruvayoor'.(The word 'thekkan' means 'southern').

The main deity of this temple is Lord Sree Krishna. There are Sub Deities such as Ganapathi, Shiva,Bhagavathy, Ayyappan, Muruga,Nagas and Navagrahas.
Festivals
The Annual festival of this temple is for ten days commencing by flag hoisting on the golden flag staff on Thiruvonam Star day in the Malayalam month of Meenam and finishes by Aarattu on the tenth day.The Aarattu ritual will be held at Sasthamangalam Mahadevar Temple premises and for which on that day evening there will be a spectacular procession from the temple.The procession goes along Peroorkada, Paipinmoodu Jn,[2]Kadappathala Nagar, Kowdiar,Ambalamukku Jn,and back to the temple. Sree Krishna Jayanthi,[3] Mandala, Makara Vilakku Season etc. are also celebrated.
Main Offerings
Payasam, Paalpayasam(sweetened Milk porridge),Archana, Pushpanjali,(flower offerings), Neeranjanam,Muzhukappu,Ganapathi Homam,Bhagavathy Homam and many more offerings are done.Annadanam(feast) is performed during festival days.
