Peter Tsimikalis (born January 10, 1986 in Toronto, Ontario) was a professional ice hockey player, he last played professionally for the Växjö Lakers of the HockeyAllsvenskan.
Playing career
Undrafted, Tsimikalis played in the Ontario Hockey League. He was traded to the Oshawa Generals from the Ottawa 67's at the 2005 OHL trade deadline for Chris Hulit. Once in Oshawa, his natural leadership took over and he became the captain of the team in September 2005. He completely embraced rookie phenom John Tavares so much that he was billeted with Tavares, and another Generals rookie, Dale Mitchell. Peter subsequently signed an AHL deal with the Albany River Rats, and then signed as a free agent with the Kitchener Rangers of the OHL.
Tsimikalis split the 2007–08 season with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL and the Columbia Inferno of the ECHL.
