Pierre Duval Le Camus

Pierre Duval Le Camus, a French genre and portrait painter, was born at Lisieux in 1790. He studied under David, and became painter-in-ordinary to the Duchess of Berry. He died at St. Cloud in 1854. Amongst his works are:

• Ennui. 1827.
• Labourer's Family returning from school. 1827.
• Halt of Huntsmen. 1837.
• Wolf-Hunting. 1838.

• Pifferaro teaching his Son. (Louvre.)
