Chart performance
The single reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 1959.[2][4] It sold over a million copies.[3]
The song was also recorded by The Chordettes and it became a known hit for them too; it also features in LittleBigPlanet 3 during the manglewood quests
