Planters Hall in Vicksburg, Mississippi was built in c.1834. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.[1] The boundaries of the listing were increased in 1988 to include an 1854-built secondary structure classified as an animal facility.[1]
During the 1863 Siege of Vicksburg it was occupied by Colonel Allen Thomas and his staff of the Louisiana Regiment. It was apparently not damaged in the siege, despite being within a few blocks of the Mississippi River.[2]
