Playwire
Playwire is a Deerfield Beach, Florida-based technology company that provides an online video platform for publishers, artists and creators to produce, deliver, and monetize digital content. It is the parent company of Playwire Media and its three publishing brands.
History
In 2007, Jayson Dubin and Steven Berger founded Intergi Entertainment, a web-based ad network focused on video gaming. In 2011, the company’s primary focus shifted to video advertising with the launch of Playwire, a division of Intergi Entertainment.
By September 2014, the company expanded into music, sports, film and other sectors of entertainment, and Intergi Entertainment officially rebranded to Playwire Media.[1]
At present, Playwire is composed of Playwire Media and Playwire Video.
Playwire Media
Within Playwire Media are three different publishing brands: GameZone Group, NowPlaying Entertainment and Kids Club, providing a digital entertainment offering for advertisers looking to target their audiences during online leisure activities. Playwire Media delivers campaigns in multiple ad formats, including display, video, in-game, mobile and custom executions, across all browsers and devices.
In December 2015, Playwire Media partnered with Moat to improve consumer attention measurement and viewability across advertising campaigns. Playwire Media also partnered with Gateway Media[2] to represent all of Gateway Media’s publishing brands.
Playwire Video
In October 2014, Playwire announced a content production partnership with Def Jam[3] to create exclusive interviews, concert footage and behind-the-scenes clips, as a result of Playwire’s ability to produce, host and monetize content for publishers more profitably than YouTube.
Company Growth and Accolades
In October 2015, the South Florida Business Journal ranked Playwire as the #3 fastest-growing technology company in South Florida,[4] based on the company’s 2013-2014 revenue percentage growth of 90.27 percent.
Also in October 2015, Playwire was also named as one of the “Best Entrepreneurial Companies in America”[5] by Entrepreneur Magazine’s Entrepreneur360™ Performance Index.
Playwire was ranked #1886 on Inc. Magazine’s annual Inc. 5000 list, a ranking of the U.S.’s fastest-growing private companies.[6]
