Discography

Polaris Rose released their debut EP The Moon and Its Secrets and their sophomore EP Oceansongs in 2013. After releasing their debut full-length album Telescopes in 2014, they were named on Music Connect's list of HOT 100 Live Unsigned Artists & Bands.[5]

They soon garnered attention from online music publications around the world including AltSounds, Music Connect, The Aquarian Weekly, Magnet Magazine, AusPop,[6] and Largehearted Boy. They are credited with being "at the top of their game" and recognized by multiple publications for their harmonies, with The Aquarian calling the "best characteristic" of Polaris Rose "their natural harmonious flow", which they acknowledged the band finds "without having to work too hard", and another saying, "Harmonizing is this pair's forte, and they use it to their advantage well."[7] The Aquarian also noted Elyse's vocals as "pure" with "impeccable" tone, and acknowledged the lyrics as "refreshingly expressive."[8]

In 2014, they began to work with manager Phil Sandhaus (David Bowie, Elvis Costello)[9] and began recording their second full length-album Ocean Blue, Velvet Skies. The album was mixed by Grammy Award winner John Spiker (Tenacious D, Beck) and mastered by Eric Boulanger (OneRepublic, Colbie Caillat, Neil Young)[10] and is due for release in March 2016.
