Port City International University is a private university in South Khulshi neighbourhood of Chittagong, Bangladesh, found in 17 May 2013.The Founder, President and Chairman is AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem and Founder Vice President and Vice Chairman is Jahir Ahmed.It is one of Chittagongs best universities with modern E library and world standard labs and classroom facilities.[1] Port City International University is Life Member of Australian Academy of Business Leadership, (AABL) Sydney, Australia. The Memorandum of Agreement was signed by PCIU's Founder, Chairman and President, Mr. AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem and Mr. Nicholas Mac Donald, President, AABL, Sydney, Australia. The life membership certificate was handed over on June 7, 2016 in Malaysia at University of Kualalumpur by Chemusa Cheomar, Head of Research and Innovations and Asia Region Advisor of AABL. The certificate was collected on behalf of PCIU by Asif Mahbub Karim, Proctor and Chairman, Department of Business Administration & Coordinator of Center for Training and Development ( CTD).
In May 2016, Md. Nural Anwar, Vice Chancellor of PCIU visited USA and in different leading universities in Kansas and New York and had fruitful discussion on joint research collaboration, student, faculty and staff exchange etc.
In June 2016, Asif Mahbub Karim, Proctor and Chairman, Department of Business Administration of PCIU visited Malaysia and had fruitful discussion for having memorandum of agreement with leading Malaysian Universities for Research and Development, Students, Faculties and Staffs exchange program. Scope of PhD and higher studies with these universities.
Forums: Port City International University has Business Forum, Cultural Forum, Debate Forum and Sports Forum. The forum are headed by Forum Coordinator and students are very active participating in these forums.
Seminars: PCIU's academic environment is very sound and all the department are focused in organizing at least one seminar per trimester for their students of respective department. The seminars are conducted by the respective department and duly delivered by external resource person with high academic and corporate background.
