Potassium aluminate is an inorganic compound with the formula K2Al2O4. It is used as a dyeing and printing mordant, as a paper sizing, as an accelerant in the setting of concrete.
Reactions
Potassium aluminate can be used to produce Potassium alum with Sulfuric acid in this reaction. K2Al2O4 + 4 H2SO4 = 2 KAl(SO4)2 + 4 H2O
