Prem Krishen
Prem Krishen (Prem Krishen Maholtra) is an Indian film actor, turned TV and film producer and the owner of Cinevistaas Limited, a film and television production company established in 1993, known for TV series such as Kathasagar, Gul Gulshan Gulfaam, Junoon and Dill Mill Gayye.
Early life & Education
He is the son of the late actor Prem Nath and his wife Bina Rai. He also has a younger brother, Kailash.[1][2] His father's sister Krishna married actor-director Raj Kapoor.
Prem Krishen attended Hill Grange High School on Peddar Road, Mumbai.
Career
He followed in his parents' footsteps briefly by starring in the big hit Dulhan Wohi Jo Piya Man Bhaye (1977) which revived the Rajshri banner,[3] and in some television serials, but soon became producer.
Personal life
He is the father of actress Akanksha Malhotra, and he launched her in his home production of Yeh Mohabbat Hai (2002), claiming that she reminds him so much of his mother. His son, Siddharth Malhotra, is also a film director, who made his debut with Dharma Productions's We Are Family (2010).[1]
