ProRealTime is a software designed and developed in France by IT-Finance. It consists of an electronic trading platform and a technical analysis software used to analyse financial markets. The software is used by many online brokers including Boursorama and IG Group,[2][3] as well as technical analysis authors.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10]
Features
The ProRealTime software offers more than 100 predefined technical analysis indicators and allows the user to create its own indicators using an integrated proprietary programming language named ProBuilder. The major advanced modules are:
- ProBackTest : The user can create a trading system and simulate its behavior on an history of past data (Backtesting)
- ProScreener : This module scans full financial markets in real time
- ProRealTrend : This module draws horizontal or oblique trend lines automatically, to highlight supports and resistances
- ProOrder : The user can execute in real time his ProBackTest trading systems (Algorithmic trading) using a server-side order execution technology
Programming language
The ProRealTime software embeds a programming language named ProBuilder derived from the language BASIC. It allows the creation of customs indicators, strategies and market scans. It is also used in the ProBacktest, ProScreener and ProOrder modules of ProRealTime.
ITF files
ITF files are proprietary digital container files whose extension is .itf as a reference to IT-Finance, the software company of ProRealTime.
Codes from ProBuilder programs can be exchanged[11] using ITF files starting from version 10.1.[12]
Content
An ITF file may contain one of the three following code types:
- ProBuilder for programming a technical indicator;
- ProBacktest for programming a trading system;
- ProScreener for programming a market scan.
An ITF file may contain several dependencies required for running a code: for example, several technical indicators called by a trading system.
Protections
Depending on the user's choice, the code embedded inside an ITF file may either be:
- visible to be freely readable and editable after being imported in the software;
- hidden to allow execution-only;
- hidden with unique import: the file can be imported only once (useful to prohibit the code redistribution).
