Ptychohyla zophodes is a species of frog in the Hylidae family endemic to the Atlantic slopes of northern Oaxaca, Mexico. Before being described as a new species in 2000, it was mixed with Ptychohyla leonhardschultzei.[2] Its natural habitats are cloud forests and lower montane rainforests. It typically occurs in vegetation close to streams. It is threatened by habitat loss and chytridiomycosis.[1]
