August 4 (Revolution Day) and October 15 (Anniversary of the 1987 coup d’état) are mentioned in Article 2 of the aforementioned law of 2000, but they are only classified as commemorative dates (sont reconnus par l’Etat comme marquant des événements à caractère historique pouvant donner lieu à des cérémonies commémoratives) and the wording of Article 3 makes it obvious that only the holidays and dates mentioned in Article 1 are public holidays. This two dates were public holidays between 1992 and 2000.
