Pwllglas (or Pwll-glas) is a village in Denbighshire, near the town of Ruthin, north Wales. It is home to the Ruthin-Pwllglas Golf Club which is popular among golfers across Denbighshire, Denbigh Golf Club being the other club in the county.
Pwllglas is split up into three cul-de-sacs, Erw Las, Dyffryn, and Tan y Bryn. The A494 goes straight through the village and leads to Bala and Corwen. The nearby village of Bryn Saith Marchog is four miles away.
Pwllglas has a thriving local community focused on the Neuadd Bentref on the A494. 2013 saw the reinstatement of a village shop Siop Pwllglas on the Neuadd Bentref site.[1] The shop is a combined effort of enthusiastic community residents to provide a much needed resource 'from the community, for the community'. Siop Pwllglas [2] won the "Village shop / Post office" category in the Countryside Alliance awards in February 2016. [3]
