Pygomeles is a genus of skinks endemic to Madagascar.[1]
Classification
There are two species:[1]
- Pygomeles braconnieri Grandidier, 1867
- Pygomeles petteri G. Pasteur & Paulian, 1962
Etymology
The specific names, braconnieri and petteri, are in honor of French naturalist Séraphin Braconnier and French zoologist Francis Petter, respectively.[2]
