Quad Cities (disambiguation)

Geography

The term Quad Cities is used to apply to several areas that have four cities of similar size and importance within close geographic proximity. Among these are:

• In Sweden: Uddevalla, Trollhättan, Lysekil and Vänersborg, is locally referred to as "the Quad Cities" (Fyrstad).
• In Alabama: Florence-Muscle Shoals Metropolitan Area, with Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, and Tuscumbia, is locally referred to as "the Quad Cities".
• In Iowa and Illinois: the Quad Cities are Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa, and Rock Island and Moline, Illinois. It also includes a fifth member, East Moline, Illinois.
  • The U.S. Census Bureau designated Quad Cities Metropolitan Area comprising the Iowa and Illinois cities.
• In Idaho and Washington: the Quad Cities are and Clarkston and Pullman, Washington, and Lewiston and Moscow, Idaho.
• In Minnesota: the Quad Cities of Minnesota are Virginia, Eveleth, Gilbert, and Mountain Iron.
