Ileana Carusio, best known with the stage names of Ramba, Malù or Malù Ramba (born 1967) is a retired Italian pornographic actress whose career spanned over 6 years. At first her name was "Malù", but the most fitting Ramba was launched by a journalist as he was referring to her aggressive look with guns and magazines. She has appeared in many films.

Biography

Carusio studied singing and then worked as a model and fashion model. She began her career as a porn star after a meeting a man in Genoa, Riccardo Schicchi, founder and manager of the agency "Diva Futura"; she was the first actress to join the agency in 1983.[1] Her statuesque beauty of the Mediterranean type guaranteed her success almost immediately. In 1986 Carusio participated in the live show, delicious curves, alongside to Cicciolina Moana Pozzi and Cornelia Oltean. The show was an incredible success, but her innumerable controversies caused a legal trail for a complaint of obscenity which ended with a sentence of six months and a fine for Riccardo Schicchi and the actresses.[2] She made her film debut in 1987, in Abat-jour, a soft-core film directed by Lorenzo Onorati and i which she was the main actress alongside Aldo Sambrell and Baby Pozzi.[3]

Carusio retired around 1990, (apparently because of pressure from her Catholic family). Then, she rejoined the world of cinema with her previous name Malù, and she played in five erotic films since then.

Other Ramba

Riccardo Schicchi, perhaps disappointed by the resignation of Ramba just at the time of greatest success, has revived the Ramba name and around 1990, a new model with a nationality of French and Super Ramba, a model from Hungary was introduced in 1992. But none have managed to match the success of the first.[1] Another Ramba, born in Viareggio, was present edition of the Misex 2004.
